Off the Road for 42 years, P5 3 Litre in the Okanagan

Updated: Mar 26, 2019

This 1962 P5 3 Litre is listed in Kamloops, BC for $2000 Canadian, a price showcasing the relative obscurity of these in North America. Given the low sales the P5 attracted over the years it was sold, these remain so rare that the wider public isn't aware of them being here at all. This despite most people being familiar with the P5 as such, mainly because of the fame it has gotten from being Queen Elizabeth's preferred mode of transport for years.

This particular example looks it's years, although being off the road for so long and kept in storage has certainly enabled it to survive for so long. It will need a full recommissioning and quite likely structural work but then the new owner would have a perfect classic car for the future! With its silky-smooth 6-cylinder engine and it's uncompromising design completely geared towards wafting over long distances, this car is well worth saving and will certainly be a head turner every time it's taken out! Find it here on Kijiji in Kamloops, BC.

Thanks for your interest in Federal Rovers. For more information, feel free to get in touch and I will get back to you soon! Please contact us with cars you'd like to see featured on the website, or anything you might have that is of interest to the Rover brand and its history.

Previously, we kept a public record of chassis numbers online - we are shying away from that for privacy concerns. We do encourage everyone to register their car, and if the car comes on the market people who are interested can ask us for information. Over years, it keeps cars in sight.

We are also happy to provide reference material for your restoration, advice or tips.
